Introduction,
Security Protection Group was founded by a former Police firearms
specialist and an ex military specialist who both have extensive back
grounds in worldwide Close Protection operations for a variety of mainly
Government clients.
SPG has set its sights and standards high for the security industry and
make no apologies for this uncompromising approach.
We are now proud to announce our Security Standards Agency (SIA) BTEC
level 3 Close Protection course, accredited via EDEXCEL.
Our course adheres to the SPG ethos and provides a high quality course
which far exceeds the minimum standard set by the SIA to produce an
operationally ready Close Protection Officer with a broad spectrum of
skills and experiences to draw on.
We have brought together some of the most experienced specialists with
not only vast operational experience, but proven training expertise to
produce an up to date, interesting, fast moving and challenging course
with an emphasis on practical tried and tested techniques.
The majority of our Close Protection instructors are ex Police firearms
and Close Protection instructors with industry leading skills and
training techniques.
Medical training and certification is included on all courses and
provided by serving Fire Brigade and Paramedic personnel who focus on
developing real life skills delivered in operational scenario based
environments.
Self defence instructors are ex and serving control and restraint
instructors from the prison service.
We believe all of our students are ambassadors for our company, whether
they gain employment with us or not. Our courses will always evolve and
maintain the highest possible standards, eclipsing most or all of the
commercially available Close Protection courses in the UK.
We are providing this at a very competitive price when compared with
shorter, industry ‘minimum standard’ courses.
