Residential Security
Ask
yourself a question; Do you feel more, or less secure at home than
you did ten years ago?
Sleepy villages and country houses have traditionally been immune to the threat of crime and burglary. The criminal would travel by bus or foot, and usually steal from the people around him staying well within the city limits.
However, a steady social change has seen this completely turn around; look at it from a criminal’s point of view:
• The internet provides so much information that it is easy to pick prosperous areas and lone houses in the country.
• Low-income earners can afford cheap cars, and are more willing than ever to travel further afield.
• Police resources are stretched and concentrated on the cities. Try getting a Police response in the countryside at 11pm on a weekend!
The modern day threat from criminals, terrorists, racists, activists and the mentally ill is increasing, and there is a growing possibility of robbery, vandalism or attack.
Appropriate Levels
Our aim is to ensure your peace of mind at all times, providing the right amount of cover to deal with the realistic risk. If you are the Managing Director of a chemicals company, for instance, you may need a permanent security team to counter the threat from activists; whereas an owner of a smallholding with no obvious concerns, could use our alarm response service to look after things whilst they were on holiday.
Whatever the level, we are flexible and easy to adjust; for instance we can provide additional patrols or CCTV monitoring whilst you are away, or we can install discreet CCTV equipment around your perimeter, with movement sensors to allow you to view activity at your property from your smart phone, (and we’ll monitor it for you after you have gone to bed). And if we are not sure why there is movement in your grounds, we’ll send a response unit (with a big torch) to patrol outside.
SPG can provide live-in residential security as required. We offer both an overt and covert security presence. Additional security personnel can be provided to complement close protection or as a stand-alone service.
As a first step we will carry out a survey to review any existing equipment and establish the need for any improvements such as electronic security devices, CCTV cameras and access control systems. We will also assess property perimeters as well as building interiors for security weaknesses and provide a detailed assessment of the security risks
